Description
u"Hi hi,
We’re Echos of Starla, a small but (hopefully) growing corporation currently made up of myself, Tanya Spade, and Alo McEpic. We’ve been back in New Eden for about six weeks now (as of writing this) after a long break, and we’re slowly finding our footing again in the chaos and beauty of the cluster.
We are recruiting, and we’re hoping to find a few others who enjoy the same sort of casual, inclusive, self-directed gameplay we do. We’re also open to joining a like-minded corporation or alliance, especially one focused on PvE and industry. If you’re active during AU time zones, even better (though that’s certainly not essential).
Now, we’re not a PvP group. Not even a little. If someone shoots at us, we usually run, and if there’s no escape, we shoot back (usually badly). Alo has more combat experience than I do, but neither of us is really looking for trouble these days. We’re more interested in the quieter side of EVE, I guess.
So, what do we do?
Well, we spend a fair amount of time mining. Not so much in high-sec belts, but more often in ore anomalies in high- and low-sec. They’ve got more risk, better rewards, and honestly, they’re just more fun. We’ve also been dipping into gas harvesting in wormhole space. It can be exciting... or fall-asleep-at-the-keyboard boring. It really just depends.
We enjoy missions, mostly Level 4 combat ones together. We also run the occasional mining or distribution mission solo, when the mood strikes.
Exploration is something we both enjoy. We scan down sites, share bookmarks, and chase escalations when they pop up. We even triggered a Deepflow Rift surge recently, just to see what would happen. I like clearing combat sites and will drag Alo along if there’s an escalation that's popped up.
We’ve also been dipping our toes into manufacturing and planetary industry. We’re starting small—building what we can and experimenting with different planet setups. We plan to use the resources we gather ourselves instead of dumping them all on the market (though honestly, selling stuff isn’t the worst outcome either).
As for future goals, well, we’ve tried a couple of Homefront Operations, and while they’re tough as a duo, we think just one or two more pilots could make all the difference. Abyssal Deadspace and Burner missions are on the to-do list too. We’re not in a rush; we just like having things to aim for. Incursions sound like they could be a lot of fun as well, though that’s more of a longer-term goal, and very dependent on the fleet you’re flying with. We’ll see.
We like figuring things out for ourselves instead of just reading guides or following the meta. We’d usually rather try and fail on our own than blindly inherit someone else’s setup. That said, we’re of course absolutely open to teaming up with the right group, we just want to feel like we’re adding something to whatever fleet, corporation or alliance we join, and not just filling a seat.
So if you've read this far, well done! And if this sounds like your kind of pace, you’re more than welcome to reach out for a chat. No pressure. We’re not in a hurry, we’re just hoping to find a few folks who value the same kind of quiet fun and shared goals that we do.
Thanks for reading. Fly safe, and maybe we’ll see you out there.
— Tanya & Alo
